Shape Of Life 6/8 Survival Game (PBS Documentary) Tube. Duration : 53.80 Mins.
Please Subscribe To The Evolution Documentary YouTube Channel: www.youtube.com Broadcast (2002) Behind the beautiful shapes and colors of seashells is the story of how a group of animals called molluscs evolved in order to survive. The wide variety of molluscs includes clams, oysters, snails, mussels, squid, and octopus. The word mollusc comes from Latin meaning "soft," a good description of the group's fleshy bodies. Of course, in an ocean filled with predators, a soft body is easily eaten. The early molluscs that happened to develop hard shells not only managed to survive but also succeeded in launching an ever escalating 500 million year old battle between themselves and their predators. Molluscs have survived throughout the millennia by having an immensely adaptable body plan. The ancestors of Nautilus evolved buoyant shells, a trait that allowed them to launch off the seafloor and become successful swimming predators known as cephalopods. As each generation struggled against increasingly clever predators like vertebrates, the cephalopods accumulated more and more sophisticated innovations through evolution. One adaptation lay in speed. In creatures such as squid, the shell became smaller, moved inside the body and all but vanished. Another adaptation lay in brainpower. Octopuses and cuttlefish think, learn and react to their environments in ways surpassed only by vertebrates. If you have a soft body in the middle of the ocean, being clever will help survival. A ...

Canon 7D Wireless Flash Transmitter Crash Course | Canon 7 D DVD Video Clips. Duration : 6.83 Mins.
My Canon 7D Crash Course can be ordered from the following link: michaelthementor.com This is one of the advanced lessons from my new Canon 7D Crash Course. Sometimes I get asked if my DVDs will help experienced users because my DVDs say "Made for Beginners". The answer is "Absolutely Yes". My DVDs are Beginner Friendly, meaning, I assume you know nothing about your camera, but by the end of the video, we will cover so many techniques, settings and tips, that unless you are an expert photographer who has been using your camera for 1-2 years, there is going to be a TON of awesome info to help you learn your camera better. This video covers the Internal Flash Transmitter on the 7D and focuses more on teaching users how to "read' and use the menu, instead of just telling you some settings. Over the long run, this will have the greatest benefit. Enjoy! www.canon7DDVD.com

Reality touchscreen University of Groningen Tube. Duration : 2.37 Mins.
This is the curved (!) screen in our reality center of the University of Groningen. We just finished building our own touch detection for it. We used six Optitrack v120 slim camera's which have a good sensitivity for infrared light. We used 16 cheap infrared emitters (the kind used for security systems) with a total of 1000 LED's. The touch detection software runs on three old computers each with two camera's connected. One extra computer combines the output from the detection computers and send event data to our main visualization system. This way we have (even using the old computers) enough processing power to be able to run the detection software at 60Hz and with a latency between 30 ms and 50 ms. It can detect without any problem 100 different touches at any time (more is possible, but it becomes slower) We used a modified version of Community Core Vision (CCV) 1.4 (nuigroup.com) (modified so it can do two camera's on one computer). The communication protocol is preferable TUIO (tuio.org) and we did install Multi-touch Vista (multitouchvista.codeplex.com), which translates TUIO events to WM_TOUCH events for windows 7. The demos you see in the video are from Multitouch for Java(tm) MT4J (mt4j.org/mediawiki/index.php/Main_Page). The part where the wizards are throwing fireballs at each other is using msafluid (project home is at msavisuals.com/msafluid ). The curved screen itself is consist of a 3 mm dark acrylic layer, coated with a diffuser on the front. Illumination ...

Kualoa Adventure - Oahu Hawaii - Glidecam HD 4000 Video Clips. Duration : 3.57 Mins.
We filmed all this at Kualoa Hawaii. www.kualoa.com Stephen Anderson wrote the score specifically for this video. You can download the song on iTunes in the link below :) itunes.apple.com I'm on facebook and twitter FINALLY! :) www.facebook.com twitter.com Going back to the location where we filmed this, it is actually my favorite place in all of Oahu Hawaii. Without question the most scenic. It's also the main location in Oahu where Hollywood movies are filmed. Such movies as Jurassic Park, 50 First Dates, Godzilla, Wind talkers, Pearl Harbor Mighty Joe Young and even a great deal of the TV show LOST was filmed here. It' also a huge tourist attraction where, as you can see, you can horseback ride, sail boat, 4 wheel, movie bus tours, jungle expedition, boat cruise, dinner, the list goes on :) It really is honestly the most photogenic place in all of Oahu. And by the way, I'm not paid to say that :) I actually did this video for free, there was no money involved. And I did it just because I love the location. The staff at Kualoa ranch were super awesome/helpful to work with when filming this, super accommodating, and they helped with what we needed to get the shots we wanted. I would for sure reccomend this place to ANY PHOTOGRAPHER, or anyone who wants an escape from the everyday world! I really think this place is one of Hawaii's best kept secrets. It also has a super rich history, which you can also find out more about that on there website as well. www.kualoa.com ...

Support an indie filmmaker and like this on Facebook: www.facebook.com This video will show you my way of converting a tripod to a camera stabilizer (or "MerriCam") using only a screwdriver. I used the Sunpak Platinum Plus 7500 Pro tripod for this video, along with the Canon HV20. All demo shots were done with no practice. This technique is not meant for very large or heavy cameras, but is ideal for consumer-sized camcorders like the HV20.
